Wine is a drink that goes back to antiquity.  The first wine was made from grapes because of its unique properties.  The chemical balance contained in a grape is perfectly balanced to ferment without the addition of sugars, acids, or enzymes.  Today, wine is still mostly made from grapes, but there are a variety of wines made from other plants as well.  Elderberry wine, and honey wine are popular alternatives to grape wine. 

People have been drinking wine for centuries, enjoying its intoxicating properties.  Wine glasses, which are made to bring out the best flavors of any vintage, were first made long ago.  Modern people still use these age old items to enhance their lives.
